Since 2008, Samzo House has been fully operational as an upmarket newly refurbished venue for hire, offering 3 large training rooms and 3 smaller meeting rooms, a canteen, toilet facilities, kitchen, outside pause area, learning resource facility and welcoming reception area for registrations. Samzo House is a small to medium sized training venue hub, which can house up to about 150-180 delegates at any one time, with excellent facilities for a variety of meetings and gatherings, large or small. It is comfortable, affordable and accessible.

 

Samzo House is situated in the Norwood central business district, in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg. It is more central than the city centre of Johannesburg, halfway between the East and the West, close to the South yet just in the North.

  • It is easily accessible from most highways (Closest to the M1) and byways.
  • Parking is available on site and in an adjacent municipal parking lot.
  • Situated on the Gautrain bus route which links to the Rosebank station.
  • There are a number of Guest Houses and B&B’s in the area as well as hotels close by to accommodate out-of-town delegates.

Being part of a small family run business, Samzo House, like its sister company CPMD, has the ability to be flexible and tailor-make your conference package according to your individual organisational needs. Being hands-on, adaptable and compliant are attributes that have enhanced CPMD’s/Samzo House’s success.

The staff complement is small, but helpful and friendly, and willing to assist clients and delegates wherever possible. Whether it be unusual or unique catering requirements, additional décor, promotional material or promotional gifts, facilitation and/or training material, Samzo House offers many value add options that can make your event, conference, meeting or training intervention a success.

In July 2008 CPMD, The College of People Management and Development, was looking to relocate from its offices at Milpark Business School. After months of looking for a suitable office set-up with training facilities, the owners came across a furniture showroom building for sale in Norwood, Johannesburg.

MD, Graeme Jay and his wife Tracy had the foresight to take on the project of converting this showroom, which was originally built to house the local squash courts, into a training venue to run CPMD’s accredited programmes (mainly in property and finance).

During the renovation, CPMD looked for suitable training facilities in the area, and discovered there was a serious shortage of reasonably priced conference and training facilities in the central and northern suburbs of Johannesburg.

As a result of this, Graeme and Tracy Jay, decided to turn their newly refurbished building into a training venue hub, called Samzo House. Samzo House was borne not only as the home of CPMD, but a training, conference, meeting and function venue hire for similar companies and corporate organisations.
